About

“To paraphrase Oprah, we all want to be seen, heard, and know that we matter, our life matters. Part of what

I do is hold the space for people to learn how to see themselves, how to matter to themselves.”  — Cathy Hope

Cathy's Bio

Cathy Hope, ACC  is a certified life coach specially trained to work with individuals and families experiencing grief, end-of-life, death, or a living loss such as divorce, chronic illness, or job loss. A heart-centered professional, she listens deeply to help clients untangle the threads of overwhelm and emotion, debunk myths and outdated thinking, and move through the complex and challenging process of change to find perspective and meaning. Cathy is also a facilitator for The Conversation Project and spokesperson for end-of-life topics who works to inform public understanding on issues surrounding death, dying, grief, and caregiving.

Personal Journey

In her own life, Cathy has walked the end-of-life journey with friends, neighbors, aging parents and beloved pets. She has seen the peace that comes from mindfully moving through this important time head-on, and the suffering that comes from denial. She has also made major life transitions and reinvented her career twice, the second time to better support living with a chronic health condition. Cathy chose a natural death for both of her beloved dogs and has joined others on their journey of making the decision and navigating the nonlinear process of death.

Career & Credentials

Cathy’s career includes three decades as a media spokesperson, as well as a student and teacher, in the fields of human transformation, spirituality, mindfulness and holistic health. Past, present, and future projects include work with Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Eileen Fisher LifeWork, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Hospice Palliative Care Federation of Massachusetts, Waterstone CCRC and Let’s Reimagine’s Global Virtual Festival during COVID-19. She regularly audits CEU classes with leading hospice organizations, the Art of Dying Institute, as well as attends workshops with leaders in the end-of-life field.
